Deema Alohali of Walnut Interiors design studio in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, spent three days in High Point, accompanied by Shannon Neal. Having never been to High Point before, she wanted a tour guide who could help her navigate the many showrooms, galleries, and shops as she searched for furnishings for two reception rooms.
Shannon led Deema around the city, visiting Furniture Land South and many other showrooms around the area. Deema was pleased that prices were reasonable, and she made a lot of new contacts while in town. Although she didn't end up purchasing anything for the project she was working on at the time—shipping was going to cost more than the goods themselves—she says she will "come back for bigger and multiple projects."
After leaving the country, Deema reflected on her experience, saying, "Shannon was great. He not only helped me going around seeing furniture—he also recommended restaurants for me, bought me a car charger, helped me carry my bag, and made sure my flight was on schedule.
